Short answer: Most MSPs on Toolqit keep their ConnectWise subscription. ConnectWise PSA stays the system of record for contracts, agreements and the intricacies of billing. Techs and operators do their work in Toolqit, which syncs two ways with ConnectWise PSA and brings ConnectWise Automate, ScreenConnect and the rest of the stack onto one screen. Toolqit is AI-native and built for speed: AI runs through every step of a ticket, from intake to close. The median tech on Toolqit gets 11.5 hours back every week.
Do I have to leave ConnectWise to use Toolqit?
You keep ConnectWise. Your subscription, your data, your agreements and your billing all stay where they are. What changes is where your techs spend the day: they stop working in the ConnectWise screens and work in Toolqit, and everything they do syncs back to ConnectWise PSA (tickets, contacts, agreements, notes, time entries and statuses).
Onboarding takes 30 to 45 minutes. We set up least-privilege API permissions module by module (no admin role required), and we send the full permissions sheet before you connect anything.
What does ConnectWise do well?
ConnectWise is a strong system of record. Years of client, agreement, billing and ticket data live in it, and that data is hard to rebuild anywhere else. It is robust in the back office: agreements, billing rules, procurement and reporting. In July 2026 ConnectWise also launched the ConnectWise Platform, which brings ConnectWise PSA, ConnectWise RMM, ScreenConnect, security, automation and ConnectWise AI Agents onto one layer.
Where does Toolqit fit in a ConnectWise shop?
ConnectWise stays the place of record: contracts, agreements and the billing detail your finance team relies on. Techs prefer to do all of their work in Toolqit, because they’re much faster there.
Most of what makes a tech’s job long and hard happens between tools. In a typical ConnectWise shop, one ticket means the PSA, an email tab, IT Glue or Hudu, the Microsoft 365 admin center, the RMM, a ScreenConnect session, and back to the PSA to write notes and a time entry from memory. Seven tabs and four logins for a simple ticket.
Toolqit makes that work extraordinarily fast. We put AI into every portion of the flow, and we built the product for speed and ease of use from the first line of code. That same ticket arrives already triaged. Board, type and priority are set from your own ticket history, the ticket is summarized, and prior tickets from the same user are linked. Toolqit runs checks across every connected tool and lays out the likely fix next to the user, the device, the docs and a one-click remote session.
If the ticket has been seen before, it runs through a workflow. A new hire, for example, becomes seven steps (create the Microsoft 365 user, assign the license, buy the seat in Pax8, add groups, share folders, add the contact, email sign-in steps), and the tech approves it with one click. When the tech presses resolve, the time entry and documentation are written and synced back to ConnectWise. It’s that simple.
ConnectWise and Toolqit side by side
| ConnectWise PSA | Toolqit | |
|---|---|---|
| Primary job | System of record: agreements, billing, time, procurement | Place of work: triage, resolution, documentation, operations |
| Where techs spend the day | PSA plus RMM, docs, Microsoft 365 and remote tools in separate tabs | One screen, every connected tool inside the ticket |
| Triage | Rules, dispatchers, and ConnectWise AI Agents | Set on arrival from your own ticket history, summarized, prior tickets linked |
| Repeat tickets | Scripts and automations configured per task | Workflows built from tickets you have already solved; the tech approves each run |
| Time entries | Entered by the tech | Logged as the work happens, confirmed on resolve, synced to ConnectWise |
| Documentation | Written in IT Glue or Hudu when there is time | Written on resolve, pushed to IT Glue or Hudu in one click |
| Stack coverage | Deepest inside ConnectWise products | ConnectWise, NinjaOne, Datto RMM, Huntress, ThreatLocker, IT Glue, Hudu, Pax8 and 30+ more |
| Billing and invoicing | Yes | Stays in your PSA; Toolqit reports margin by client, technician and ticket |
Should I use ConnectWise AI Agents or Toolqit?
If you want AI inside the ConnectWise product and your whole stack is ConnectWise, ConnectWise AI Agents are a reasonable place to start, and we expect them to keep getting better.
Toolqit makes a different bet. Models improve every few months, so we build for where they will be in three to six months, and we build around the tech’s whole day across every tool. We also work with any PSA, so an MSP that changes PSAs, or acquires a shop running HaloPSA or Autotask, doesn’t start over.
What does it change for my numbers?
Across our live MSPs, the median tech gets 11.5 hours back per week and works 40%+ faster. That is roughly $4,000 to $8,000 of billable capacity per tech per month. MSPs pay per tech or per outcome, with no setup or integration costs.
FAQ
Do I have to cancel ConnectWise to use Toolqit?
No. ConnectWise stays your system of record for contracts, billing and reporting. Your techs work in Toolqit, and everything syncs back.
Does Toolqit work with ConnectWise Automate and ScreenConnect?

Does Toolqit need admin access to ConnectWise?
No. We use least-privilege API permissions per module and share the full permissions sheet up front.
Will my ConnectWise reports still be accurate?
